Why not make 2015 the year you start engaging with the council online? It’s very easy to register and once you have, then reporting a missed bin collection or flytipping or making enquiries is only a click away!

This is the same system that the Moseley and Kings Heath Neighbourhood Wardens use to report issues, this year they have reported everything from blocked and flooded drains, to pot holes and lots of fly-tipping!

Kings Heath Timebank Meeting

(From the Timebank website)

Timebank Meeting – 13 Dec 2.15pm Heathfield Road

Hello everyone!  The next Kings Heath Timebank meeting will be on Saturday 13th Decemberat Kings Heath Community Centre, Heathfield Road B14 7DB. Feel free to drop in at any stage from 2.15pm to 3.30pm – refreshments will be provided!

The event will have a slightly more informal and sociable feel to previous get-togethers. It would be great to get as many of you there as possible to meet one another and give feedback on how it’s going so far, as well as provide an opportunity for new people to come along and find out more – please spread the word and feel free to invite friends and family in the area.

We will also be unveiling the new, limited edition Kings Heath Timebank Gift Notes for those that may wish to give something a little different to people over the festive period!
If you’d like to advertise the event to friends, you can download as PDFs a Poster and flyers here.  As always, any help in distributing these would be very much appreciated.
See you on the 13th!

Sorrento Park – Next Year’s Big News – Express Your Interest Now!

Do you live near Sorrento Park (a play park on Oak Leaf Drive, off Forest Road) – Do you use the park?  Do you like parks? or gardens? or orchards? or birds? or wildlife? or being part of new, exciting projects?

We are beginning to look at the future of Sorrento Park, and what kind of community resource it could become, in the new year we will be forming a ‘Friends of’ group, to make sure all local interests are consulted and included – but now is the time to get in touch if you would like to be involved!  We are interested in hearing from individuals and organisations – there will be posters and leaflets in the new year, but if you know it is something you’d like to be involved in – get in touch now!
